Celebration

A couple days ago the blog accomplished its first one thousand visits. I feel obliged to those who pass by and close the cycle of purpose this project has. Being RE the band I used to play for, 'tis quite logical I update it first to the blog, uh? Anyway, I'll try to be impartial when judging it, in order for you to have the right impression of our only work.

I would definitelly say we were much influenced by the NWOBHM at the point the songs were composed and arranged, although we were looking for a Finnish or Swedish sound. Most people have said it's an easy listening EP, and I agree for its melodies and pace. The speedy feeling in it is undeniable, rather than a real Melodeath one, so, for the lovers of old-school, It won't be that hard to swallow.

In the other hand, it has some weaknesses to be mentioned too: the production is fairly decent, but no more, and at some points it could have passed as a rehearsal-demo, or something, this provides certain auntenticity, though.

To sum up, Ecos de Legiones Arcanas is a pretty decent work of looking-back-to-the-past modern metal, and if you are not ABSOLUTELY bound to old school, you're gonna enjoy it for sure.
