Khadaver - 2012 - The New World Disorder

Genre: Industrial/Electronic sort of Black Metal
Country: Slovak Republic

As it was announced, the only download posts to be found here will be those related to bands that willingly share their music through the net. So, let's start the new era in the blog with these guys who play a kind of electro metal with Dani Filth's-like vocals, and who are spreading their music just the way it should be these days: asking for a voluntary donation. Nice digital release.

Beware

...for I have something to announce. I'm positive the lack of activity on the blog has been notorious lately. No, I ain't gonn'apologize for that, you cunt. Instead, I'm gonna be abso-fucken-lutely frank about this: things are changing around here, and that's final. First of all, I'll stop posting anything that vaguely resembles mainstrean stuff; that's right, you won't find any other albums by  Iron Maiden, Cristina Aguilera or Deicide ever again. Instead and every now and then, what I'm sharing here will be releases that the bands themselves stream willingly free of charge in sites such as Facebook, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, You Tube, My Space and shit like that. Also, you'll still have the chance to check out the most fucken fantastic metal reviews written by me (have you checked the Reviews flap, you asshole?), and whatever else I feel like writing about extreme music and stuff. Finally, know that the albums I've posted so far will be available as long as the links I created last, I won't fix them if they break. That's about it for now.

Cheers,

- Cobal

P.D. While you wait for my next awesome post, check out this incredibly heavy bass doom metal act from Finland. They rock. Hard.

Either ones, or the others...

Normally, this species makes dumbag inseparable friends with the CommerciallicA fan type. Plus, the one and only song this asshole appreciates is "Walk" and that great opening from Hellish Cowboys or something...

A map which divides the total amount of metal bands by country according to Encyclopaedia Metallum, by the country's population. Poor ol'Mexico!

Metallica fan?

They should have added this true metal-head believes Death Megnetic restored CommerciallicA's reputation.

Craven - 2011 - Juicio a la Conciencia

Genre:  Melodic Death Metal
Country: Mexico

What to say about these fucks? First, Craven is a local band to my hometown, I'm an acquaintance of'em and I even get along well with Irving and Silva. So, you could say I'm not going to be COMPLETELY impartial when judging their work. It ain't my intention to pointlessly praise their work either.

Saying these young musicians play melodic death metal, or melodeath  if you like, is... not quite accurate. I'd rather say their stuff is made up out of a well accomplished, modern, mature and interesting cluster of influences, yet there IS melodic death involved.

As I said before, I know Craven; I've been witnessing they're gigs every now and then since 2006, I own their two demos (Rezos, 2006; El Velo de las Mentiras, 2009), and I've gladly seen how their short career has unfolded. Juicio a la Conciencia is a refreshing release in a time when everybody sounds the same, and few are those who try to build up their own style.

There's nothing else to be said, except to mention Craven also friendly shared their work with me, and authorized me to spread it by posting it to this blog, which is AGAIN a personal effort to share the music that is worth it.

Cheers!

AK-11 - 2011 - Legendary, Demonic & Invincible

Genre:  Black Metal
Country: Australia

Well, what do we have here? Just ANOTHER underground black metal album... JUST THE WAY WE LIKE IT, TOO. I've never been into labeling thousands and thousands of different black metal sub-genres, yet you could call this True Epic Raw Black Metal.

The way I see it, this man is another faithful follower of Norwegian school; cold tremolo-picked riffs, epic tunes and raw vocals are the seal of the house, and hell, do you need anything else? It might not be the most original release ever, but, which one is these days? Furthermore, I'll give it one more thing: it's quite obvious to me, he's spent just a monumental number of hours practicing his fast picking.

Finally, know you can download this demo directly from AK's website absolutely freeof charge or use my own link, 'tis up to you. Thank you, Valak for sharing your work with me!

Ovroboros - 2011 - Elevatio

Genre: Death Metal
Country: Chile

A new tag breaks into the blog with this post; Self promotion is gonna label posts in the case of bands such as Ovroboros, who kindly got in touch with me to provide some info about themselves, a link to get the stuff they want us to listen to, and of course, a friendly cheering.

Ovroboros play straight death metal, and if you ask me, some thrash influences are undeniable. Elevatio's quite enjoyable fo'sure; in Spanish I'd call it "chelero", that means that's ideal for being listened to while relaxing in the company of a fine pint of beer.

May I state my joy with regard to the friendly sharing of files across the Internet, no matter what shitty and restrictive laws such as SOPA, ACTA, PIPA, Döring in my country, etc. try to do... and block.

Heil, Ovroboros!
